You can get a replacement certificate via the TK-App (under "Certificates"). You can also download a certificate from "Meine TK" ["My TK"] or have one sent directly to the doctor’s practice. Please note that this process is currently only available in German ["Ersatzbescheinigung für Arztbesuch"].

Tip: Use the TK-App
You can log in to the TK-App using biometric features without having to enter an insurance number or password. This allows you to also use our online services, including the insurance certificate for the doctor’s practice, when you are on the go.
You can also present your insurance card to the doctor’s practice at a later date. After 10 days, the practice is allowed to invoice you with a private bill for treatment if you have not presented your eHealth card or replacement certificate by then. However, if you provide your eHealth card by the end of the quarter, the doctor has to reimburse the money you paid.
