TK-Fit uses health data collected from a variety of sources and takes a number of different approaches to help you live a health-conscious life - and get rewarded for it! Health data is particularly sensitive, which is why data security is given top priority right from the start.
More details
Our security concept is based on data avoidance and data economy. This means we only collect data that is absolutely necessary and only store the data that we are obliged and permitted to store. We immediately delete any data that is no longer required. The user first has to declare their consent to the data provisions. We provide transparent information about which data can be stored where and for how long.
Which data does the programme need?
In order to operate TK-Fit and check that you have completed the challenge successfully, we need the start and finish date, the chosen external data source, the pseudonymised user ID you use for your wearable, the steps you have taken and the kilometres you have cycled.
Where are my data stored?
The start and finish date, the chosen data source, the weeks in which you were successful and the pseudonymised user ID you use for your wearable are stored on TK's servers. In order to ensure that your steps can be transferred to the app, TK has teamed up with the company Vilua Healthcare GmbH so that the step data needed for TK-Fit can be stored.
Vilua Healthcare GmbH is subject to the data protection regulations and data protection monitoring at TK. Vilua does not store personal data and the data are not transmitted to TK, but only temporarily called up and displayed on the smartphone. The TK-App only records that you have completed the challenge successfully. This means that TK has no access to the actual number of steps you have taken.
If you switch data source or decide to stop participating, the data stored by Vilua will be deleted automatically. This means that TK-Fit will no longer be able to display the steps from the previous data source.
